The Chelmsford Water District is in the process of looping the main between Fairbanks and Brentwood. We cut into the main on Brentwood on Tuesday, June 23rd. We then were able to get the new main off of the road. We will now run roughly 500 feet of main before we tap into the Fairbanks end of the loop.
Yesterday, June 23rd, you may have noticed some discoloration in your water. This was due to cutting into the main. As we run the main, you should not experience any other disruptions in your service or water quality issues until we cut into the Fairbanks side of the loop.
Check this page of our site for updates on the progress of this work. This will help the water quality immeasurably in this area by removing 2 dead end mains.
