Selling Your Home
Please have your real estate agent or attorney send an email to: finalclosings@chelmsfordwater.com
Email should be sent NO later than one week prior to the date of closing so a Final Water Meter reading can be done.
We will respond back to your email affirming that we have received your request. Final Water Readings are done on Tuesday and Thursday each week.
When you contact us we will need the following information. We will not schedule a final water reading until each item listed below is provided in full.
- Date of closing
- Address of property you are selling
- Buyer's name and contact number
- Closing attorney's name, email, phone, & fax numbers
Once the final water reading is done, the Chelmsford Water district will produce a final bill and email it to the closing attorney. We will also share the closing information with the Chelmsford Sewer Department. The Department will generate a final sewer bill and fax that information to the attorney.
