What are the signs up all over town about outdoor watering?

During the warmer months of the year, most communities see an increase in water usage by about fifty percent.  If left uncontrolled, it can put a strain on the overall aquifer.  The Chelmsford Water District has a By-Law that limits outdoor water usage which is requirement of the District’s withdrawal permit.  The purpose of this bylaw is a proactive measure to protect and manage our water resources and infrastructure.  This By-law ensures the continuation of adequate water supply for all uses.
